Candied Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients
- 6 medium sweet potatoes, cooked and sliced
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon all-spice
Methods/steps
- Place sweet potato slices in a baking dish. Sprinkle potatoes with cinnamon and all-spice. Drizzle the corn syrup and spread the brown sugar over the sweet potatoes in the baking dish. Add butter or margarine in pats on top of sweet potatoes.
- Place in 350 degree F. oven and cook for approximately 20-30 minutes. Potatoes should be basted several times with the syrup. Syrup should thicken. Remove from syrup and serve.
