Barbecue Meatballs
Description
You can't have a SuperBowl Party without these little grape flavored treats!
Ingredients
- 1 pound groud beef
- 1 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 Tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce
- 1 jar (10 ounces) grape jelly
Methods/steps
- Combine the first 9 ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well blended. Shape into walnut size balls.
- Melt shortening in a 10 inch skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and pour off fat.
- Combine barbecue sauce and jelly in skillet. Stir over low heat until jelly is melted. Add meatballs and stir until well coated.
- Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
