Start your morning with a taste of the tropics. This filling breakfast smoothie, featuring heart-healthy walnuts, is chock-full of omega-3’s and fiber-rich avocado and will give you the fuel you need to kick-start your day.

- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 small banana
- 3/4 cup cold water 175 mL
- 1/3 cup California walnuts (crumbs or halves) 75 mL
- 1/3 cup coconut milk (reduced fat) 75 mL
- 2 tbsp honey 30 mL
- Juice from 1 lime
In a blender or using a hand blender, combine all ingredients and process until smooth. About 1 minute.
Chef’s Tip: Substitute coconut milk and water with soy or rice milk. Try adding protein powder for a complete meal. PER
