Sausage and Cheese Frittata
Description
The is great when entertaining either family or friends. Have everyone get together and pitch in prepping.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. loose breakfast sausage, such as Jones or Jimmy Dean (half a roll)
- 6 eggs
- 2 tablespoon cream or milk
- Spray Pam or butter
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped chives
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Optional: 1 cup hash brown potatoes
Methods/steps
- Cook the sausage until brown. Drain and set aside.
- Whisk the eggs and cream/milk well and then mix in the remaining ingredients.
- Spray Pam or butter your frittata pan. When pan is heated add the ingredients and attach the cover lid. Cook on low/medium for approx. 5 minutes. Check the bottom of the frittata for browning. If browning has not started, check back in a few minutes.
- When this side is done grip the pan tightly and quickly flip. Check to make sure that the frittata is centered.
- Continue to cook until done, approx. 5 more minutes.
- Serve with warm homemade biscuits and jam.
