about 4 cups
- 1/4 pound of butter
- 4 Tablespoons onion, finely chopped
- 4 Tablespoons celery, chopped
- 4 cups bread crumbs
- 2 cups oysters in bite size pieces
- 1/4 cup oyster liquor
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- salt to taste
Methods/steps
Melt the butter in a skillet, add onion and celery, cooking until onion is tender. Add to remaining ingredients. Mix well
Spoon into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350° for
25 to 30 minutes. May also use as a stuffing for an 8 to 10 pound
turkey.
