Meaty Italian Spaghetti Sauce
Meaty Spaghetti Sauce like grandma used to make! It's her recipe! I use this sauce for my lasagna recipe also.

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1/2 ground beef
-
1/2 lb. Italian sausage casings removed

1 cup chopped onion

4 cloves garlic

1/2 cup chopped parsley

2 (28oz) cans crushed tomatos

2/3 cup tomato paste
-
1 teaspoon sugar

2 Tablespoons dried basil

1 Tablespoon dried oregano
Methods/steps

In a saucepan heat olive oil and add the first 5 ingredients. Cook, stirring until beef and Italian sausage are brown. Drain grease and return to pan.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Stirring occasionally, cook for 45 minutes.
Additional Tips
I substitue fresh herbs when available.
