Macaroni Cheese Bake Casserole
A cheesy upgrade for one of Americas favorite side dishes. Turns the classic into a meal for all ages!!!
Ingredients
- Either Homemade Mac & Cheese (enough for 8 servings) or Kraft Mac & Cheese (2 boxes)
- 16 0z. Shredded Cheese (any flavor is fine I prefer Colby Jack & Cheddar)
- 2 lbs. Ground beef
- 4 scallions diced
- 16 oz. Sour Cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 sleeve of crackers
Methods/steps
- Pre-Heat Oven to 350
- Season ground beef to taste (everyone is different), also sear scallions within same pan for flavor, drain.
- Prepare your favorite style of Mac & Cheese.
- Combine all ingredients (except Crackers,& 4 oz of shred. cheeese) & Mix thouroughly.
- Crumbles sleeve of crackers and mix in remaining cheese
- Spread Cracker/Cheese Layer over top evenly.
- Set Timer for 1 hour(or until cheese/cracker layer is Golden Brown.
Additional Tips
I prefer Ritz Crackers for my taste, adds a nice buttery richness to it. My family loves the Leftovers. Should be an instant hit. I make it once every 4-6 weeks. The family thinks it is hard :-)
