Country Fried Apples
This is a fabulous side dish. Serve is with Pork Chops or my favorite - Breakfast: Eggs, sausage, and homemade biscuits!
Ingredients
- 6 Tart Apples Sliced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup bacon drippings
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 dash of nutmeg
- 1 dash of salt
Methods/steps
- In a large skillet add bacon drippings. Pour apples evenly over the bottom of the skillet. Sprinkle with lemon juice add the brown sugar and dash of salt.
- Cover cook over low heat 15-20 minutes until apples are tender. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
