Chocolate Guinness Stout Brownies
I was given this recipe by a friend and they are the bomb! How can you go wrong with Guinness and Godiva!
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 5 bars (1.5 ounces each) Godiva Dark Chocolate, finely chopped
- 3 bars (1.5 ounces each) Godiva Ivory Chocolate, finely chopped
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Godiva Hot Cocoa Powder, Dark Truffle Flavor
- 1 cup Guinness stout
- Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Methods/steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan. Set aside.
- Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- In heavy-bottomed medium saucepan over low heat, combine dark chocolate, ivory chocolate and butter, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Gradually add to egg mixture.
- Sift together flour and hot cocoa powder. Gradually beat into chocolate mixture. Slowly whisk in Guinness stout.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake on the center oven rack for 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out almost clean. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack. To serve, dust with confectioners’ sugar and cut into squares.
