Blueberry Jam

Description
I think blueberry is my favorite jam. This is a easy recipe. Great for gifts.
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups slightly crushed fresh blueberries
- 7 cups sugar
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 (3ounce) packages of liquid pectin
- jars and lids
Methods/steps
- Combine blueberries, sugar and lemon juice in a large dutch oven; bring to a rolling boil. Boil 1 minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat and immediately stir in pectin. Stir, and alternately skim off foam with a metal spoon for 5 minutes
- Quickly pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace; cover at once with metal lids, and screw on bands. Process in a boiling-water bath 10 minutes.
