Big Larry's Cajun Crab Cakes
This is my friend's crab cake recipe. Can you guess his name? Serve with my easy Remoulade Sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound crab meat lump or claw
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 2 Tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper or cayenne
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 dashes Tabasco sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Butter for sauteing.
Methods/steps
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients EXCEPT the crab meat, breadcrumbs and butter. Blend well. Add the crab meat and mix gently. Gradually add the bread crumbs to the mixture. Shape into patties. Chill for one hour.
- When ready to cook, melt butter in the pan and saute the patties 4 minutes on each side.
